Hi! Welcome to Kate GW Yoga - I'm so happy to have you here. I'm Kate, and I've been practicing yoga since 2012, and since that first hot yoga class in London my practice has evolved dramatically. I started out going to yoga classes for the fitness part - building strength and becoming more flexible were my main goals (and if this is why you want to come to yoga, that is fine!), but over time I found that those two main focuses were being pushed aside a little for that feeling at the end of a class, after savasana when I just felt...different. Lighter, happier, more connected to myself. I started branching out and joining different classes - slower paced, more mindful, and found that I loved that feeling of slowing down a bit, paying more attention to what I was doing, turning inwards a little more. I wasn't going to yoga classes solely to find strength in my body - it was the strength and calming of my mind that I wanted.
I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Whitespace Yoga Studio and I'm also trained in Yoga Nidra (essentially yoga sleep!). I'm currently offering online classes weekly, as well as one to one sessions.
